Dear Friends,
As the war with Iran and its proxies continues, the community of ANU - Museum of the Jewish People, along with the entire country of Israel, is facing profound challenges.
Despite these difficult times, ANU’s dedicated team has responded with remarkable creativity, excellence, resolve and speed—following established protocols to safeguard our shared heritage and invaluable treasures. While the museum is temporarily closed, ANU has extended its reach far beyond its physical walls. ANU has have significantly expanded its online presence, offering a wide range of programs, virtual tours, and digital content in multiple languages—free of charge. Designed for diverse audiences, these initiatives ensure that the richness of our Jewish heritage remains accessible. The growing demand for these offerings underscores ANU’s vital role in nurturing Jewish identity and pride, especially in times of uncertainty.
It is our shared Jewish story that has inspired and sustained us for millennia—and will continue to guide us for generations to come. A new chapter in that story began on October 7 and continues to unfold before us. ANU embodies the essence of this enduring narrative. As a cultural bridge, ANU connects past and present, generations and traditions, and Jewish communities across Israel and the world over. It serves as a central hub—both physical and virtual—for Jewish learning, dialogue, and engagement.
The ongoing war has a tremendous impact on everyone in Israel. We are grateful to our staff, among them IDF soldiers and officers including ANU’s CEO, Oded Revivi, a colonel (res.) in IDF’s Home Front Command, who is leading the search and rescue efforts overseeing the region between Jerusalem and Beit Shemesh.
The war places unexpected constraints on ANU. We truly rely on the support and partnership of our dedicated friends worldwide. ANU's leadership, chaired by Irina Nevzlin, is greatly encouraged by the reinforcing and sustaining messages received from you. As a strong and united global Jewish community, this is most important and meaningful to all of us at ANU. With your assistance, we are confident in our ability to meet the challenges ahead. Please consider a donation to ANU at this time.

Passover—Chag Ha’Cherut, the Festival of Freedom—reminds us that the quest for liberty and independence is as strong in the present as it was in the past. May we draw strength and conviction from its enduring message. In a time when our sense of security, community, and identity is being tested, let us hold fast to hope and resilience.
